How We Met
We met during our fourth year at Cal Poly, when we ended up as next-door neighbors. Riley was the loud, annoying neighbor, but an invitation to Riley's roommate Andrew's birthday party became the night everything changed. Riley asked Sofia to dinner almost immediately, and that first date at Buona Tavola in San Luis Obispo became the beginning of everything.

Adventures Together
Travel quickly became one of the things we love to do most together. Costa Rica in December 2021 was our first international trip, and it opened the door to so many adventures: a summer through Europe, Sayulita, Belize, Christmas markets in Germany and France, backpacking in Yosemite, and Japan.
The Proposal
The Proposal
On October 19, 2024, around our anniversary weekend, Riley proposed to Sofia in Barcelona in front of the Sagrada Familia. We spent the rest of that Spain trip celebrating through Tarragona and Valencia, carrying the feeling of that moment with us.
Why Tepoztlán
Why Tepoztlán
A destination wedding felt like us — a way to celebrate with the people we love most while sharing somewhere new together. México was a natural fit, both for the distance and for Sofia's family roots. We came across Tepoztlán while searching online, and something about it just clicked. When we finally walked through PiedraViva in person, we were done. The mountains, the greenery, the vibe of the whole place — it just felt right.
